Bembe Thursdays

So I went to Bembe Thursday (a weekly dance party in midtown Kingston JA) a couple of weeks ago, just to see what all the hype was about and take some pictures of the amazing trends of Dancehall Jamaica. Well, next time lets just say I will be more prepared. It was a little rough around the edges to say the least. The fashion was hot! But i was scared to take some of these people’s pictures, they looked like they would snatch me and my camera apart in two winks!

It was too crowded for me to move around comfortably, but the music was good. I promise, I’ll go back soon and capture some real dancehall style.

    Pshhaww…Bembe is full of uptown people! Nothing to be afraid of. This is the tamest of all the Kingston parties! Now, Passa Passa…maybe not a great place to take your camera to.
