Irie Diva Style: The High Gladiators

And of course they looked at me like I was downright crazy!!! LOL!!! Ever since my last gladiator post where I turned up my nose and the Olsen twins for wearing their high gladiator sandals, I’ve since been reformed after seeing these Givenchy high gladiator booties
We have seen and fell in love with the shorter version on every one from Tracee Ellis Ross to Cassie…I have to be different and rock the high ones come on!!!
Now of course I can’t afford me no Givenchy…but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to try out this high-bootie trend. I thought I would go the quirky, laid-back-but-still-rocking-it-out-fab look for my version…kinda like fly girl Rihanna does here…cute right?
Those aren’t really gladiators…but you get the look I’m tryna achieve here. No? Time for some outfits!
So after awhile my friends looked at the outfits and were like…"hmmm…I can see where your going with this…it could work…"
Of course it can!!! That’s why I’m Irie Diva! My diva is on a waaaay different kinda vibe! What say you stylites? I am loving all three outfits. I love how I took the simple beige dress in the first one and sassed it up with the belt and sandals, and I love the wooden cuff. The pink outfit…don’t you love how I took such a girly pocket-dress and totally transformed it rocker-chic style with the leather cuffs and poison necklace? No? 
And the orange dress…I’m fitn to wear that to a party right now! Come on y’all…try summn new!

I love, love the whole gladiator sandal rave… from the simple flat ankle straps to the calf/knee highs and especially the heels. But I’m a practical and kinda cheap girl so I don’t get too complicated with them… keep them simple so they can survive a few more seasons instead of throwing them out when a new trend is born.
I like Cassie’s and Rihanna’s, i absolutely hate the high gladiator’s. Chinese Laundry had a nice pair but i passed it up. It’s not my style but i don’t mind seeing it on other people.
i think this is 1 of dem thing dat will have to grow on me.. I’m tryna like it, I guess they’re kinda ok ish, but they still look kinda goofy….. I dunno if alll a dat will change in like couple months when they start growing on me and I’l probably have all types, styles and colours, lol…. u kno how fashion is! lol
A real fashionista is not afraid to try anything… don’t call your self a fashionista if you only know what someone tells you is in. You don’t like then you like…As a stylist i say this attitude cheapens the art and allure of fashion. Be yourself , step outside the box and don’t judge those for trying a ting.
