The Clutch finally takes a back seat

Well…not really, but there’s another option now ladies. For the longest while now, the clutch has been the only fashionable bag to be seen with on the party or formal scene. No more! Remember that long chain that came with your clutch and you took it off? I hope you kept it because long straps are making a comeback! You know already that I wasn’t the biggest handbag fan , but a purse is very necessary to hold 4 essentials when out on the town…my keys, my phone, my lip gloss and some tissue…cus you never know! All is well as long as those four things make it. But my clutches have always been the kind with the little string at the end so that I can put my hand through it because, between me and you, I’ll throw that bag somewhere after tequilla numero two and then there goes that!
These nifty little long chain purses give me an alternative…well not me, you, because honestly I am not a fan…they dont sit well between the girlies, kinda make them protrude too much. But Solange Knowles is a big fan and she has the perfect pair of girlies to bring it off. I heart that Chanel Bag!

Keep them casual and flirty. With cute cocktail dresses, they add a little spunk but on somebody’s red carpet…I dunno about that.
All the bags here are from Forever21.com.

how do u feel about the leather-looking ones that are more satchel-ish?
my clutches have come with long chain handles too but i dunno yet…ill see how it feels. somehow they remind me of when i was a kid going to sunday school with my bag that matches my dress… you know?
I totally agree wit u Jane… I don’t see myself throwing no long-strapped purse over shoulders any time in the near future *shakes head*
yuck Solange but i love the clutch designs but a clutch is simply a clutch 2 me nothingelse meanin no straps
Laux, this brings me back to when i was 7 or 8 and i had my strap bag for church…this style is not happening *thumbs down*
I don’t think this look is for me…i’ll pass on this one.
its looks ok on Solange, but Im not sure about me as you;’ll been saying it kinna looks kiddish. I dont think it will replace the clutch. Its an ok casual look, but not dressed up.
I think it looks cute on her.
I’m a fan of keeping my arms free so I like the idea of a long strap. With short strap clutches, I feel like I have to keep my hand on it so it won’t slip off my arm. If I can sling it around my body, it may free up my arms to dance
so mi see it still
kinda happy it may now be acceptable to go to a boas’ey place with a bag strap across my body.
