The Teenage Observer’s Fashion Fireflys
May 15th, 2009 | By Irie Diva | Category: Jamaican Celebrities, Street StyleTeenage, the Tuesday magazine of the Jamaica Observer for young readers, recently did a photoshoot with some of our new Jamaican dancehall/reggae divas at Jordu…the new "name brand" fashion store in Seventh Avenue Plaza. I find it quite amusing that the writer wants us to believe that this is what the ladies wear on a day to day basis and that teenage just "happened" on them while they were all shopping together…but we know that’s not the case…especially since Tami and Alaine were twittering about their upcoming Teenage photo shoot days before. It would be nice if we would see our local celebs walking our streets looking fierce…but this is Jamaica…and you know we like the laid back fab.
The looks were fun and fresh, my favourite being Tami’s dress and cowboy-tied scarf combo and Raine’s boots. Black and white and any bright colour totally rocks! Alaine’s red belt is sitting a bit too high, Raine’s neck area looks a bit hot, like she’d melt if she stepped foot out the store plus its long sleeve and Denyque’s bra is showing…I would have preferred that dress if it had a flared or tulip styled skirt that was nipped in by that silver belt.

The ladies do look fab tho

Kerri, the TEENage demographic is geared between the ages of 13-26 and so despite the name, the fashions displayed appeal to a number of persons in the demo.
